I have looked at this site before and I liked what I saw–lesson plan titles–but there is a charge! I cannot justify paying for the lesson plans when there is so much great stuff on the internet for FREE!!!

There is useful information from this site that all co-op coordinators can use, and share at a parent meeting. Useful for guidance counselors and employers who ask us what the program is about…. Easy to read! Thank you!

I am looking for suggestions about career magazines, books, and DVD’s that I can supplement the textbook with…12th graders. Does anyone who teaches a career class have suggestions?

It is pretty easy to find your way around the site. It is layered in a way that makes it easy to find what you’re looking for in spite of its gigantic size.

Mary Sue Burkhardt tracked down the the WEb site and how to use it—so here is the info—–The web site is http://www.acinet.org.

In order to get into the areas , click on Occupational Information.

Then Occupational Profile.

Determine which Occupational Cluster you need (let’s say Food Preparation..)

Choose a specific job (food preparation worker)

Identify Indiana

Have fun!

I liked reading the newsletter about the co-op program from Pennsbury. Especially liked reading the myths and facts regarding co-op programs. Wow- All the famous people who have been enrolled in co-op programs! Everyone should see this. It’s a great recruiting tool.
